PRIVATE HOSPITALS START ISSUING BIRTH & DEATH CERTIFICATES
29 HOSPITALS ISSUED 576 CERTIFICATES SO FAR: APNEET RIYAIT
HOSHIARPUR, JUNE 16: As the Health & Family Welfare gave approval to Private Hospitals to issue birth and death certificates after online registration, as many as 576 certificates have been issued so far by 29 hospitals situated in Hoshiarpur urban area.
Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that the online birth and death registration facility for the private hospitals falling in urban jurisdiction has been started through a special software designed by the Government Reforms department. The people are now also getting certificates from the hospitals itself in a short period once the hospital upload the information to the local registrar through the online portal.
Riyait said that the service have commenced in hospitals of urban areas, while the health institutes will be starting providing same services in second phase covering private hospitals of Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats. She said that till today, 29 private hospitals so far issued 370 birth and 206 death certificates since May 1 and people are receiving the facility without facing any kind of problem.
