Russia: Russia has started production of Corona Vaccine Sputnik V, after which efforts have been intensified to get it all over the world. But Russia has shown interest in India’s vaccine manufacturers, given their potential.

Russia wants the same Corona vaccine Sputnik V to be produced in India as well. Kirill Dimitriv, CEO of the Russian Director Investment Fund, has said that talks are underway. He said that this vaccine will be rolled out by the end of this month. Regarding Sputnik V, many scientists say that Russia has ignored the procedure.

Some scientists fear that Moscow has placed its reputation at stake by rapidly approving the vaccine. Sputnik V is the first vaccine in the world to go into production and Russia has promised to make it available by the end of this month.

The vaccine is named Sputnik V because the Soviet Union sent the world’s first satellite to space with the same name. President Vladimir Putin claims that the vaccine is completely safe and that one of his daughters has also been vaccinated.

Sputnik V can also be produced in India
The vaccine produced by Russia under the name Sputnik V can also be produced in India. According to Kirill Dimitriv, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), negotiations are on with Indian pharmaceutical producers. RDIF has funded the research and production of vaccines. It has been developed by the Gamalaya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of Moscow.

Dimitriva said, “India and Russia have historically been partners in many sectors. RDIF has been associated with Indian companies since 2012. He said that Russia has made a plan to produce 500 million doses every year in five countries. Apart from India, there are talks with Korea and Brazil.

Russia claims over medicine
Russia claims that it affected all volunteers in the Phase-1 and Phase-2 trials of Sputnik V. Within 21 days, the immunity developed. According to Scientists, the immunity doubled when given a second injection of vaccine. No serious side effects were seen on any volunteer. Phase-3 trial of this vaccine will take place in Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Brazil and UAE, besides Russia.

COVID-19 Warriors will get the  first dose in India- Minister of State Ashwini Choubey

Indian scientists are also engaged in making Corona vaccine day and night. Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey says that if they succeed, the COVID-19 Warriors will get the vaccine first.

He said, ‘Our scientists are working very hard on this. Three vaccines are in different stages of testing against Kovid-19. And if we are successful in making vaccines, then our Kovid Warriors will get the first dose. ‘

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Zydus Cadila’s ZyCov-D are undergoing trials on humans. In addition, the Serum Institute of India has been approved for the phase-2/3 trial of the University of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
