District Police Hoshiarpur launches a special drive to fight COVID-19 in Hoshiarpur “A STEP TO PROMOTE MISSION FATEH”.

Recently there has been a steep upward rise in COVID-19 infections in the city. District Police Hoshiarpur under the able guidance of SSP Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS is tackling the situation in an organised and able manner. District Police Hoshiarpur launched a special drive to fight COVID-19 in Hoshiarpur
“A STEP TO PROMOTE MISSION FATEH”.

It was informed that challan and fines are part of a new safety protocol initiated by District Police Hoshiarpur to make the public aware of safety measures to prevent COVID-19 and aimed to crack down those violating safety rules. The central object of the move is to keep the public safe amidst the fast spread of coronavirus infection and create awareness among the general public.
The imposition of police nakas is to crack down the violators and not to create panic.

SSP Navjot Singh Mahal
During the checking at nakas only the violators are burdened with challans while the general public is sensitised about the precautionary measures to keep themselves safe. To date 32842 violaters are burdened with Challans. As a part of awareness cum safety drive, police distributed 48,429 masks, 19392 sanitizers, Face mirrors 530, and 7375 gloves.

In view of the steep rise in COVID19
infections in the district, District Police, Hoshiarpur further appealed the general public to stay indoors and come out only if inevitable, wear masks, avoid large gatherings and follow social distancing norms and thereby keep themselves and their families safe.
