Four persons killed in road accident in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, July 15
4 persons aged between 25year to 35year died when their car Maruti 800 car No. PB-12-F-3528 in which they were travelling in rammed into a truck No. PB-07-V-2224 near local Chandigarh By-pass, village Shergarh during the intervening night between July 14 and July 15, 2021.
According to ASI Sukhdev Singh, Incharge of local Purhiran Chowki, three persons identified as Pushap Kumar, son of Kishan Kumar, Vikas Kumar Sharma, son of Achhey Lal Sharma and Narinder Kumar, son of Ram Parkash, all of local Purhiran locality, died on the spot. Their bodies had been sent to local government hospital for postmortem.
The critical injured identified as Parkash Kumar, son of Naresh Kumar of Purhiran, succumbed to his injuries at DMC, Ludhiana. He was first admitted in local government hospital from where he was referred to DMC Ludhiana.
The car rammed into the truck from the rear side killing all the occupants. The impact of the collision was so strong that Vikas Kumar Sharma’s head was decapitated, said Sukhdev Singh.
The truck driver identified as Sukhwinder Singh, son of Chanan Singh of Lodhi Chak PS Tanda, who fled alongwith his vehicle after the accident, had been taken into custody. A case was being registered against him, he added.
