DC LAUDS EFFORTS OF HEALTH TEAMS FOR COVERING ALL 37 VILLAGES WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD

Adampur health block has become first in the district by covering 100 percent specially-abled beneficiaries under the vaccination drive by covering as many as 350 such beneficiaries at their homes within a few days.

Hailing the efforts of health team in Adampur block, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the specially-abled persons are integral part of our society and administration was duty-bound to provide them inoculation facilities at their doorstep. He stated that a special drive was launched in all the health blocks to provide Covid-19 doses to willing specially-abled persons so that they too get the benefit of vaccination drive initiated by the state government.

Pointing out further, SMO Adampur Dr. Reema said that the 100 percent vaccination of all willing specially-abled beneficiaries could be achieved with the hard work of entire team. “We had deployed ten vaccination teams to approach every single beneficiaries and within a couple of days all the specially-abled persons were contacted and inoculated subsequently”, she added. The SMO stated that before vaccination drive a survey was conducted in all 37 villages to ensure effective implementation of this drive adding that the teams not only provided vaccine doses but also motivated rural folks for Immunization.

Dr. Reema further stated that the teams were also making efforts to encourage those beneficiaries who earlier refused to take jabs so that they could also be benefitted.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Himanshu Jain said that this vaccination drive is continue in the district aiming at covering all such eligible beneficiaries at their doorsteps.
