HOSHIARPUR, JULY  (ADESH PARMINDER SINGH): Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that high-end job fair organized under Punjab Government’s Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar Mission on Thursday ended successfully with placement of 53 and shortlisting of 16 youths. The job fair secured a package ranging between  Rs 2 lakh and Rs 6 lakh.

As many as nin banks and several prominent finance companies participated in the job fair, where around 300 youth participated from Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Ludhiana and other districts.

The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the youngsters at the fair besides urging the banks and companies to give chance to fresh blood also along with the selection of experienced youths.  She said that in today’s fair, banks and other companies offered an annual package ranging from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh. 

Riyait said that for the first time in the district, a special job fair has been organized on a large scale for the youth wanted to join the banking sector. Riyait also said that Axis, HDFC, SBI Life Insurance, PNB MetLife, Satin Creditcare and other companies took part. She said that the successful conduct of  high-end job fair by District Employment Officer Gurmel Singh, Placement Officer Mangesh Sood, Career Counselor Aditya Rana and the entire team is a great achievement. She said that the efforts would also be made to provide employment to the youth of different fields according to their qualification in future too.
