Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India, Jalandhar is organising a 4-day Photo Exhibition, here, on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Flagship Schemes of the Central Govt. under Integrated Communication & Outreach Program from March 20 to 23, 2023. It will be held at the Digital Library premises.

The exhibition, which is being organised in coordination with the district administration, would be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Sh. Som Parkash on March 20th.

Deputy Commissioner Smt. Komal Mittal and Field Publicity Officer, CBC – cum – Nodal Officer of the exhibition Rajesh Bali held a meeting with the concerned departments of the district administration involved in the exhibition where Smt. Mittal passed on instructions for all the arrangements to be made.

She informed that on the inauguration day, beneficiaries of Kisan Credit Card, MUDRA Yojna and a batch of 30 students of Rural Self Employment Training Institute under the Ministry of Rural Development will be handed over loan sanction letters and certificates, respectively, by the Hon’ble Minister.

Rajesh Bali said the CBC is also getting a special Cancer Detection Van from Rotary Club, Jalandhar West to be stationed for a day on March 21 for free check up of Mammography amongst women and administering Cervical Cancer Prevention Vaccine to some young girls as decided by the civil hospital and the district administration.

Saplings would be planted on March 22 on the occasion of World Water Day that follows after the International Forest Day on March 21.

On the last day of the exhibition March 23, which falls on the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, an Anti Drugs Cycle Rally will be taken out in the morning in coordination with the GNA University and Fit Bikers Club, Hoshiarpur to spread the message of shun use of drugs. A declamation contest amongst students from various educational institutions will also be held at the venue on the topic of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Meanwhile, a special free general health checkup camp will also be held on all four days at the venue. Aadhar Updation and Linking it with Voter Card will be done free of cost from March 21 to 23, 2023. A special stall for making Unique Disability ID Card will also be setup to help the beneficiaries in making their cards. Stalls to disseminate information on Kisan Credit Card, PM Awas Yojna and Self Help Group will be setup to for the benefit of general public. Free saplings would also be distributed during the exhibition.
