ਕਬੱਡੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (29) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਤਮ ਹੱਤਿਆ

ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ / ਜਲੰਧਰ : ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਦੋਸਤ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (29) ਵਾਸੀ ਬੁਰਹਾਨਵਾਲ, ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।Shahkot / Jalandhar : A young man in Shahkot committed suicide after an argument with the wife of a policeman friend. The deceased has been identified as Kabaddi player Gurvinder Singh (29) resident of Burhanwal, Shahkot.

ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਰਮਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ-ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ‘ਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਰਮਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਜੋਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋਤੀ ਨੇ ਰਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਕੋਲ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਥਾਣੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।According to the deceased’s father, Gurwinder’s policeman used to come and go to Raman’s house. Recently, when Gurwinder went to Raman’s house, he had an argument with his wife Jyoti about something. In this case, Jyoti along with Raman and mother-in-law have filed a complaint with the police. After which the police called Gurwinder to the police station for questioning.

ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਟਮਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਘਰ ਪਰਤਣ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੇਕਸੂਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ-ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਡਿਪਰੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫਾਹਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈ ਲਈ।The family alleges that the police beat and tortured Gurwinder. On returning home, he told the family that he was innocent and that the police were harassing him. The family tried hard to convince Gurvinder but he went into depression. At night, he hanged himself.

ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਰਮਨ, ਜੋਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਸ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਅਮਨ ਸੈਣੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈThe police have registered a case against Raman, Jyoti and mother-in-law based on the statements of the deceased’s father. This has been confirmed by Inspector Aman Saini in charge of Shahkot police station. Currently, all the accused are yet to be arrested. The police are investigating the matter
